Youna is a writer, translator, and teacher. Works-in-progress include a book on intimacy, autobiography, and Roland Barthes, and a translation of Véronique Bizot's Les Jardiniers. Her work has been published in the Boston Review, The Brooklyn Rail, The Conversant, Harriet, The Offing, and West Branch Wired.

Youna is featured on page 81 of Evening Oracle (an email written to Brandon). EO won the 2016 William Carlos Williams Award, chosen by Katie Peterson, for the PSA. Youna accepted the award—and read this poem—on Brandon's behalf.
